Ken’s parents invited us to go out to Lake Monjingup with them to see the work that has been done by the construction course participants. It was raining when we left home, but it was lovely when we got there.
They are extending the existing boardwalk, so that the spread of dieback is minimised.
We haven’t had much rain this year and the lake is very dry – there were still ducks on the lake , but they were too far away to photograph.
My favourite picture was of this leaf on the path – is it a heart or angel wings?
What a beautiful place for a walk. Your photos are fabu especially the white heart leaf. All of the images would make good subjects for a collage.
Thanks Kathryn – it was a lovely walk, wishing we had taken a picnic – maybe next time.
What a beautiful walkway…I take it “dieback” is a plant? These are plants I haven’t seen before…very pretty. Thanks for sharing.
Dieback is a fungal disease that affects the roots of plants and eventually kills the affected plants – it can be spread by people walking through it – hence the need for the boardwalk.
What a wonderful stroll – your photos are stunning. I’d love to take a walk down that boardwalk! Very cool!!
Thanks Karin – it is a lovely place to visit.
