I was inspired by Misty Mawn’s Circle Garland and Susanna Gordon’s Hearts that I decided to make my own garland. Last night I punched a variety of little hearts, using scrapbooking papers and painted papers. (I even stabbed my thumb with the punch!) this morning I cut two little birds and then stictched them onto pink ribbon to finish the garland. The garland is now hanging in the window of our lounge room.
The good news for you is that I am making another one as a giveaway. Leave a comment here 0n this post before Monday and you will go in the draw for a bird and heart garland.
Here are the other bits and pieces I have been working on today.
A Zentangled Heart for Ken for Valentines Day. I was making it for a giveaway, until he asked what it was for, so I wrapped it in brown paper and ribbon for him. I’ll get a frame for it next week.
This zentangled Bird and Heart are up for grabs in my giveaway so don’t forget to leave your email address. Check out the Soul Journal Blog for more Birds of a Feather Blog Party ideas and links to other participants.
have a Happy Valentines Day!

What a lovely idea to make a garland – I’d seen Misty Mawn’s circles but not the hearts – that’s gorgeous too…
And I love the way you’ve done your own version – very cool.
You really have the Zentangle thing down. Your garland is fabulous. Now you can make some birds out of friendship paper. 🙂 Thanks for playing you are a dear one!

I love the bird, it would be brilliant etched on a leather notebook cover.
I love what you have done with the birds. Although I posted for the party, I had a real life party (Princess Party for 18 year old) to host yesterday, so this morning, it’s me, my coffee and the quiet.
I love that garland! Great idea and looks so cute. Aren’t zentangles fun and addicting?
So cute, that garland! It’s a great giveaway. Happy Valentine’s! (p.s. – I hung up my prayer flag this week, also. Don’t you just love the sentiment in them?)

Thank you for sharing – Happy World Friendship Week! Blessings LN
I did not attend the V-day blog party but I am one of your soul Journal sisters, although I am not on as frequent as I’d like to be. Just wanted to say love the birdie with the purple heart. It’s lovely.
